The following images of wild birds in their natural habitats
are taken in various countries around the world. All of the
images on this page are copyright Christian Artuso (all rights
reserved). The majority are 35mm colour slides, which unfortunately
lose quality when scanned for on-screecn viewing, with more
recent photos being digital. If you wish to use any of these
photographs, please contact me at chartuso@gmail.com.
The price depends on the intended usage and the resolution required.
Some of these photographs already appear in various magazines
and books from around the world, so exclusive contracts are
not available. Many of these images can be donated to conservation
agencies free of charge, provided prior permission is obtained
and i am credited as the photographer.
Zoologists divide the world up into 6 zoogeographical realms
and I have chosen to organize my photos according to these.
To see my photos from a particular realm, simply click on the
relevant section of the map below (I don't have photographs
from every realm yet).

Realms are further subdivided into sub-realms and regions, and
some of my pages may reflect this. For the sake of simplicity,
the photos on each page are organized in alphabetical order of
their common names. The status of threatened and endangered species
(according to Birdlife International) is given in brackets after
the common name.
The images on these pages represent a sample of my wildlife
photography. I have many photographs of other species not shown
here (over 1500 species in fact) and photographs of other wildife
as well. Please email me if you are looking for an image of
a particular species. I try to update this page as often as
possible, so the images may change from time to time.
I hope you enjoy these images!
